About this notice
This notice explains how personal information is handled on this website and when you book with Dr Megan Leitch (“the practice”). We’ve tried to keep it short and in plain language.
This website
This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies, doesn’t run analytics, and doesn’t ask you to fill in any forms. Its fonts and images are served from the same place as the site itself, so simply visiting doesn’t share anything with Google or other third parties. Like most websites, the company that hosts it may keep basic server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.
Booking an appointment
When you choose to book, you’re taken to our online booking system, Cliniko. The details you enter there, such as your name, contact details and the reason for your appointment, are used to arrange and provide your care. Cliniko is a separate service and its own privacy policy applies to it.
Your consultation
What you share in a consultation is confidential and is recorded in your medical record, in the same way as at any GP practice. Your records are kept securely and used for your care, unless the law says otherwise.
Instagram and LinkedIn
We link to our Instagram account, @practically_thriving, and to Dr Megan Leitch’s LinkedIn profile. If you follow or message us there, that site’s own privacy policy applies. Please don’t send personal medical details by direct message; keep those for your appointment.
Your rights
Under data protection law (the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it or, in some cases, to erase or restrict it. If you’re unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (opens in a new tab).
Contact
To make a request or ask a question about privacy, message us on Instagram (@practically_thriving).
